As a specialist in high-resolution fine art photography, I was selected by the Louvre Museum to document a curated selection of rare artistic and historical pieces. The project required precise technical execution and customized photographic approaches for each object, strictly adhering to international museum standards. I worked closely with a team of curators, each an expert in their field, developing specific imaging strategies tailored to the nature and conservation needs of each artifact. This approach was informed by my experience working with the Rijksmuseum’s photography guidelines, which emphasize accuracy, consistency, and preservation-focused imaging.

Captured using Focus Stacking to ensure complete sharpness from top to bottom. A Hasselblad medium-format camera was used to achieve exceptionally high detail, allowing for in-depth digital study comparable to physical observation.

selected pages was photographed individually, maintaining a maximum opening angle of 30 degrees to protect the manuscript. The cover, made of golden threads and embossed metalwork, was documented using a specialized lighting setup to capture depth and texture without compromising the original material.

A finely detailed piece requiring high-resolution imaging to capture intricate engravings and textures essential for both display and academic analysis.
The photography process involved documenting the library's unique collections, which include rare maps and atlases, Arabic calligraphy instruments, historical boxes, and a large collection of important book covers from around the world, along with Arab and foreign heritage and cultural magazines, as well as a collection of historical Islamic and Arab documents and manuscripts.
The project spanned 60 days, during which I photographed more than 1,000 pieces of the region's most important cultural collections. To ensure the highest levels of accuracy and quality in documentation, I used Hasselblad cameras and Broncolor lighting, along with a ColorChecker color calibration card to ensure the authenticity of the colors in each image. I also used a set of specialized stands to securely and professionally mount the equipment, in addition to specialized stands for books and manuscripts of various sizes.

This project came after extensive study and research into the methods of handling historical books and manuscripts, which increased my experience in this field. This knowledge was deepened by working on the rare and extensive collection of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library.

In collaboration with the Etihad Museum — one of the most prominent cultural and national landmarks in the United Arab Emirates — I was entrusted with the responsibility of documenting the museum's entire collection, which tells the story of the nation's founding and embodies the identity and political history of the UAE.
Over the course of ten consecutive days of on-site work, I photographed hundreds of unique items, including rare paper and metal currencies, official state documents, historical correspondence, and personal belongings of the Founding Fathers such as watches, daggers, pistols, and jewelry. The collection also included traditional garments and cultural objects that reflect the essence of Emirati heritage.
As part of a high-level documentation project in collaboration with the Saruq Al Hadid Museum in Dubai, I was tasked with photographing a curated selection of some of the region’s most valuable archaeological artifacts—pieces that date back thousands of years and represent ancient civilizations and rare historical narratives.
The collection included intricately crafted pottery, rare metal coins, and finely detailed objects, each with its own unique story and cultural significance. The documentation process required a meticulous technical setup tailored to the fragile nature of these materials.
Utilizing the Hasselblad high-resolution camera system and Broncolor Swiss lighting, I created a controlled environment that ensured balanced, diffuse lighting to reveal the finest details while preserving the integrity of each artifact. A neutral color backdrop and precise color calibration standards were employed to achieve maximum accuracy and fidelity.
This project was not only a technical endeavor, but also a visual and intellectual journey—translating the historical essence of each piece into exceptionally detailed, color-accurate images. The results support museum presentation, academic research, and long-term digital archiving, enabling future generations to engage with these treasures through a lens of clarity, respect, and preservation.
As part of a cultural collaboration with the Sharjah Museums Authority, I was commissioned to photograph a curated selection of heritage artifacts housed across multiple museums within the Authority’s network. The project aimed to showcase the cultural diversity and historical richness of Sharjah and the surrounding region.
Over 500 heritage objects were documented, including traditional clothing, embroidered textiles, jewelry, pottery, and other culturally significant items. The photographic approach focused on capturing the fine craftsmanship, decorative motifs, and unique materiality of each object through carefully composed and aesthetically refined imagery.
The project was executed using a professional imaging setup, including a high-resolution Hasselblad camera system and Broncolor Swiss lighting to ensure optimal light balance. A color-neutral environment and calibrated workflow were implemented to preserve the authenticity of each object’s texture and tone with the utmost precision.
